Our Disney Bubble is bursting. We always talk about the Disney Bubble, the fantastic fantasy of being within Disney walls and escaping the outer world around us. But lately, I am feeling this bubble has popped, or perhaps for some of you, deflating. Are you feeling it too?
Pin Trading is strong in Walt Disney World! Disney pins are an art; they are a beautiful way of expressing yourself. You can buy them in the Parks & Resorts, online, trade them, decorate or wear them in many ways. Disney pins show off who you are as an individual.
Some people collect pins, others have a few special ones, and for some, it’s a wonderful hobby; shopping for them is also part of the fun. Some pins are limited or exclusive, but the value is more than just monetary. On this recent Walt Disney World vacation, our family enjoyed trading pins. Let’s explore!
There is another side of parenting on a Disney family vacation. It’s not all Mary Poppins, and it’s filled with things no one tells you or talks about.
Parenting is always a challenge, and you might be tempted to think at Disney that you’re the only one at the Happiest Place on Earth whose kids are fighting non-stop, whose partner you’re not seeing eye to eye with, and whose teenagers may have just hit the limit. We aren’t always the perfect prince/princess parent spreading pixie dust on all of our children all the time.
It can bring families together, couples partnered, and children on their feet clapping with glee. Our Disney Parks & Resorts are a gateway for enjoying DANCE. You can dance in Walt Disney World; if you hear the music playing, dance!
Choose Your Own Adventure. I love those books, you get to choose which path you want the story to take you. It reminds me of the movie Clue, and at the end, there are surprise different conclusions to solving the murder.
At Walt Disney World, going between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reminds me of these experiences because there are several ways of going back and forth between the two parks. What is your favorite path?
Do you remember watching Battle of the Network Stars? Oh, hello Gen X, my friend! It was a show on the ABC network that introduced all of our favorite television network stars from late seventies to the mid-eighties competing in camp-like events.
It was a special time in our Gen X lives, and for me, this show represented my generation. Ah, nostalgia.
