Hanukkah (Chanukah) is a Jewish holiday that will begin this year on this evening and end on December 18th. Celebrating the holiday through lights, tradition, food, candle lighting, blessings and stories/music are part of the celebrations. In our home, we enjoy incorporating Disney magic in any form into most of our holidays, and Hanukkah is one of them. In Walt Disney World, you can also find Hanukkah being celebrated. Let’s count the EIGHT ways we can celebrate Hanukkah with Disney themes for all EIGHT days!

Thank You, DIS Unplugged
November 12, 2020

Recently, many of us have been thanking Disney, Disney cast members and thanking each other as friends in our community disboards. As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, I want to highlight one more friend, the DIS Unplugged, who gets us through our FOMO, for being our source for Disney information, and for just being our good friend. More than ever, this upcoming holiday highlights the importance of being thankful, and I want to take time out to express how much I cherish and appreciate the DIS Unplugged.

In some Walt Disney World attractions, there is a particular scene, or area, that you can immerse yourself in: the smell, the look or feel, and the music all combines to make that one particular scene endearing to you. What is your favorite Walt Disney World scene? Here are my top 5 Walt Disney World scenes from all four parks.

Ah, Max. Remember A Goofy Movie in the mid-90’s? Dad Goofy struggling to find that balance of sentimentality of the old days and the pull young Max felt as he moved into his teen years along with all of the classic rebellion, awkwardness and oh-so-cool Powerline concerts that came with it? And then there was that fishing trip; it’s always fun to take a teen on a trip to bond as father and son. Well, how’s about three teens and a trip to Walt Disney World?

For several years now, I have navigated the teen years with three teens. As they are now mostly edged out of that time frame, I can look back at the evolution from early childhood family Disney vacations to teen years and offer my top five tips.

I am the wife of an AFOL, Adult Fan of Lego. So, being that I am an Adult Fan of Disney, I guess that makes me an AFOD?! What a great match; two people who like to build, collect and decorate touches in our home to these things we enjoy: Lego and Disney. Somewhere, we meet in the middle: a Disney Lego collection, of course! I would love to share with you how Lego and Disney make a beautiful marriage.

Putting the Pieces Together
September 4, 2020

My Disney jigsaw hobby began pre-COVID when I discovered it filled a hole for me when I was away from the Disney parks. Call it a guilty pleasure or my downtime hobby; I was lucky and grateful to have many Disney-themed puzzles and truly cherished them during these homebound times as they were in high demand. Connecting each piece reminds me of the parks, or a classic movie, attraction, or song. Let me share them with you!
