What a great time of year to reevaluate our relationships. And for us Disney fans, one of our important relationships is with Disney itself. It’s possible that right about now you’re questioning your partnership with Disney and where you two stand. It is possible, probable, that Disney may not have treated you nicely last year and you need to move on with other vacation relationships. Or it may be time to reconnect and cement what is an enduring love affair. Let’s explore…

Which shoes you’ll choose to bring to the Disney parks is a popular topic of conversation. There is never a right answer because every person has their own unique comfort level and fashion sense. With so much walking involved, it’s always important for me for my feet to be comfortable, so the very best shoes for me are ones that keep my feet happy.

Vegan and vegetarian foods have come a long way, especially at the Walt Disney Resorts & Parks. There is still a long way to go, but they are improving. Recently, I enjoyed several sit down, table service meals that offer vegan and vegetarian options in the parks. Let’s have a look!

There is a song called “Alice’s Restaurant,” and it’s a tradition for some to listen to on Thanksgiving Day. It’s about Alice, and as American singer-songwriter Arlo Guthrie’s lyrics go, “about two Thanksgivings ago,” which, for you and me, would be 2019. For Arlo’s story, and our stories, that was a lifetime ago and a life-changing turning point. For “Alice’s Restaurant,” well, that’s just a tradition, but here we are now, together in 2021; let’s enjoy our present, our season, our moment in time.

It’s hard to believe the New Year is approaching again. It seems like yesterday we were all catching our breath and holding on tight to each other jumping into 2021, a bit relieved, confused and exhausted from 2020. Where did the time go? So much has changed within all of us and so much has also stayed the same that, as we head into 2022, we can all just keep on pushing forward, learning, growing, and holding hands in our Disney community. We are one.

On a recent vacation to Walt Disney World I rode the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction and left with disappointment. I was not comparing it to the newer attractions in Walt Disney World like Rise of the Resistance; I knew not to do that going in. However, by my third day, having easy availability to ride it by choice without a wait via the virtual queue, I chose not to. It was a one and done for me.

Light up your Hanukkah and infuse some Disney magic at home with these traditional recipes, Disney-style. Making these recipes will bring the magic of Disney and Hanukkah to your holiday home. Hanukkah will be celebrated this year beginning November 28th (evening) through December 6th. Yes, that would be Thanksgiving weekend as the eight-day start date! So put the turkey away on Black Friday and get out your oil and sugar, here we go!

The Disney Fab 50 Character Collection are golden statues that you can find around all four Walt Disney World parks. What a great way to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary! They’re beautiful, make for great picture spots, and are fun to find and look at. Perhaps your favorite character is part of the collection!

I won’t leave you hanging until the end of this article; I highly believe that adults with no children do belong in Walt Disney World. There is a sweet spot: the years between your kids are “adulting” and when (hopefully and/or maybe?) they have children of their own. I am just beginning this journey into the empty nest. My toe is in that doorway with three children; my husband and I chose our first solo trip without them to be at our happy place, Walt Disney World.

I just returned from Walt Disney World filled with a few days of adventure and bliss. This was my fall trip (my last trip was over the summer) and I was looking forward to checking out Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration. As a non-local, I followed all opening day reports and was eager to go there myself and check things out. Having just returned this week, I would love to tell you all of my impressions, opinions and tips for visiting Walt Disney World during their 50th Anniversary as a non-Florida resident.
