Why We Love Walt Disney World
February 9, 2021
Sometimes we lose sight of the things we love when they’re right in front of us. Sometimes we feel we have to justify our love of Disney to others and feel we must defend ourselves as to why we love our parks. We shouldn’t.

We love Walt Disney World. We love our DIS Unplugged community. We love Give Kids the World.
We love all things Disney. Let’s be simple, basic.
Here are my top five reasons why I love Walt Disney World….
Leaving Bruno at Home When You Head to Disney
January 21, 2021
So you got a puppy during the pandemic? A kitten during Covid? Congratulations! Now that you have these adorable pets, certainly named proper Disney pet names, it’s time to begin planning if you intend on leaving them home for your next Walt Disney World vacation.

With the potential for Disney-centric vacations in the coming years at either Aulani Resort and Spa in Hawaii (as it is currently open), or, of course, Walt Disney World, it’ll be good to know that leaving your new family member behind will be less stressful with a few great tips. Planning early is the first tip!
Looking Forward to 2021: Disney Silver Linings
December 30, 2020
Our Disney community was hit hard 2020. In hard times, we look to our past and present leaders for guidance. Walt Disney, our community leader, was an optimist. He once said, “I always like to look on the optimistic side of life…”

So, what Disney silver linings can we look forward to as we look ahead with hope for 2021? Personally, I can’t wait for our Disney year ahead!
We all wish for that special vacation for our family; creating memories, spending quality time together and hoping it will be a success. But let’s face it, traveling with a preschool-aged child can be challenging, and you’re very brave to do it! It’s not always a piece of cake, but it can have moments where everything is zen and balanced in the flurry of sensory explosions, out of whack schedules and the Florida heat.
Breaking Out of the Disney Rut
January 14, 2021
We all have ruts. Sometimes our Walt Disney World vacations can become routine and repetitive, and we find that it’s time to change things up. Getting out of the Disney rut is important because Disney is different these days; so let’s adapt and prevent, dare I say, boredom, or (yikes) dare I say: the Covid fatigue syndrome from hitting our upcoming vacations. With the changes ahead, we can tweak ourselves and our places to adapt to the new business model and still get new enjoyment for years to come.
Taking Pictures at Disney World: Making Memories
December 22, 2020
Taking pictures at Walt Disney World is an important part of our vacation. We all enjoy taking pictures in the parks and looking back at our good times once we return home. Disney Legends, the Sherman Brothers, even wrote a song about it entitled Making Memories.

Our DIS community has a discussion forum area where member CampbellzSoup recently asked the question: What park photos do you think are iconic? And the responses were amazing! For me, it also raises the question, “What does an iconic picture mean to you?”
